Well, it's time to begin a new commission. This one has its own challenges. Two portraits using a very old, black and white photo as reference. I'm beginning to find a likeness in both people. Whew! It's always a bit of a struggle to get a likeness.
When I paint this one, there will be a combination of "black and white" - the people - set against a vibrant blue sky and yellow wheat field. I think there will be a lot of experimenting on scraps of paper to find a "black & white" that works with the background.
