So far, it's been fairly easy coming up with quotes that tie Charlie's whimsical character to the bleakness of my painting segments. I love the feel of beauty amidst bleakness. It seems to fit with these times. I've always loved Oscar Hammerstein's quote:
“I think it is just as important to sing about beautiful mornings as it is to talk about slums. I just couldn’t write anything without hope in it."
